Away games will be crucial in deciding the Premiership winners in 2009. Chelsea have won 11 consecutive away games in The Premiership. A more telling statistic for me though is the fact that Manchester United are only 6 points behind Liverpool, with a home game in hand, having played 8 away games against teams who were in the top half of last year’s Premiership. Their next away game is against Tottenham and if they don’t lose that game I think they will win the title again.

Chelsea don’t have a classy enough goalscorer to replace Drogba when he’s injured/suspended/transferred. Anelka doesn’t score against top teams as their defenders are as quick as him.

Liverpool haven’t played well at any time and Rafa Benitez may wish he’d spent 27 million pounds on David Villa rather than on Robbie Keane and Andrea Dossena. Liverpool don’t score enough goals when Fernando Torres is injured.
